At Fisher College, we believe that college is more than just an education—it's a life-changing experience. For more than a century, Fisher has been changing lives by providing opportunities to students focused on the three most important aspects of a college experience: education, dedication, and life. Fisher is an accredited four-year college located in Boston's historic Back Bay with locations in Boston, Brockton, New Bedford, and North Attleboro. The College provides affordable, real-world educations that prepare students to achieve their career goals and compete in today's challenging economy. Additionally, Fisher College is dedicated to the education of our military service members.

Recognitions

Fisher College has been recognized by GI Jobs Magazine as a Military Friendly Institution for the past seven years and was also named a College of Distinction for the 2016-2017 academic year.

Nonprofit Status

Founded in 1903, Fisher College is an independent, non-profit educational institution approved by The Board of Higher Education of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and authorized to grant the degrees of Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Associate in Science, Associate in Arts, and various certificates.

Purposes

Residential Life

Approximately 300 students make their homes in one of the College's four residence halls. Located just around the corner from the Public Gardens and Boston Common, students reside in elegant, 1900's "brownstone" townhouses with all the comforts of home. The turn of the century residence halls have modern amenities such as security systems, common areas with refrigerators and microwaves, making the halls a comfortable place to study, relax, or just hang out with friends. While each living area is unique, each fosters an environment that is conducive to learning. Professional staff and student leaders live and work in each residence hall. Recreational activities, leadership opportunities, referrals to support services, and a listening ear are just a few of the benefits of living on campus.

Student Activities

The Office of Student Activities encourages students to be actively engaged and involved on campus by providing opportunities for leadership and involvement that enhance personal, interpersonal, and organizational development. For that purpose, we serve the college community as advisors, administrators, educators, and resources for students and student organizations.

Life in Boston

Boston, Massachusetts--Where the seeds of the American Revolution were planted, and the Freedom Trail offers an informal tour of several famous historical sites. Boston is a major center for the arts, with internationally regarded museums, a rich theatre tradition, and a busy concert schedule featuring A-list entertainers. A half a million people crowd the Esplanade every July 4th for the Boston Pops concert and Fireworks Spectacular. Boston is a dynamic sports hub as well, with teams representing all four major sports, not to mention the world-famous Boston Marathon and the annual Head of the Charles Regatta. Unique cafes and eateries, shopping for things large and small and much more are only a few steps or an MBTA subway ride away!
