Application Periods

The main application period for international students is mid-October to 15 January for all programmes starting in the autumn semester (August) each year. A small selection of programmes also accepts applications during June–August for the spring semester start date (January).

Tuition fees

Students who are citizens of countries outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland are generally required to pay tuition fees. Tuition fees do not apply to EU/EEA citizens. For information about the tuition fees of the individual programmes, please see www.lunduniversity.lu.se/programmes

Scholarship opportunities

Students who are citizens of countries outside the EU/EEA can apply for a scholarship after they apply for studies with us. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit, not financial situation.

Research

The Bachelor’s programme in Development Studies is interdisciplinary and focuses on economic, social and political processes and their links to development cooperation. The aim is to provide the knowledge needed in order to critically examine and understand the preconditions for, and process of, development.

Starting in the autumn of 2019, the School of Economics and Management will offer a three-year (180 ECTS credits) BSc in Economy and Society. The programme is taught in English and aimed at recent high school graduates with a strong academic background, international career ambitions, and the drive to gain knowledge and skills in global context analysis, both in the public and private sector.

Economic history is concerned with how economic change in the past can help us understand the future. It uses concepts and theories from across the social sciences to studythe development of real economies and understand them in their social, political and cultural contexts. It combines the skills of the economist and the historian, the statistician and the sociologist.
