Introduction

INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS SCHOOL, A SCHOOL OF HOCHSCHULE FRESENIUS, UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED SCIENCES

The International Business School was established in 2013 as a school of Hochschule Fresenius, University of Applied Sciences, one of the oldest and largest private universities of applied sciences in Germany. With a range of international study programs the International Business School provides an international dimension in higher education for global citizens.

To prepare graduates to manage the business and intercultural challenges of a globalized business environment, the International Business School offers study programs in International Business Management (B.A.), International Business Psychology (B.A.) and Digital Management (M.A.). All programs are taught in English and our two Bachelor’s programs International Business Management (B.A.) and International Business Psychology (B.A.), offered in Cologne and Berlin, also include integrated semesters abroad in Shanghai and New York. The Master's program Digital Management (M.A.), offered in Cologne, covers management techniques for modern technology-driven businesses, and students are fully free in their choice of location in their final semester while completing their master’s thesis.

With a maximum of 25 students per course, we ensure an ideal degree of stimulation, motivation and interaction to gain the necessary knowledge, skills and tools in the field of economics and business to leverage the challenges and opportunities of the global marketplace. As well as being specialists in their fields, the International Business School lecturers also frequently invite external guest lecturers working in relevant fields to provide unique insights that connect theory with practical application. Furthermore, our courses are state-recognized and FIBAA-accredited, giving students an internationally recognized degree with a guarantee of quality teaching standards. Hochschule Fresenius, University of Applied Sciences places emphasis on individual support and guidance and providing students with access to a lot of different services to ensure a productive and inspiring learning environment.

Bachelor in International Business Management

The degree program International Business Management allows students to gain knowledge in the fields of economics and business management with a global focus. It aims to prepare future graduates for employment in internationally operating companies in Germany or abroad. [+]

In the Bachelor’s study program International Business Management (B.A.) students acquire foundational knowledge and skills in the fields of economics and business management with a global focus. With two integrated semesters abroad in New York and either Shanghai or Sydney the program prepares future graduates for jobs in internationally operating companies all over the world. Graduates of the Bachelor’s program will find a broad range of areas in which they can apply their business expertise and skills in working life. The courses are taught in English and cover the areas of Business Administration, Accounting, Entrepreneurship and Human Resource Management amongst others. In six semesters students not only gain theoretical knowledge and technical expertise, but develop intercultural and communication skills, as well as motivation, team and leadership skills. The students spend their fourth and fifth semesters abroad. In addition to gaining valuable language and cultural skills during these semesters, students focus on their majors and select between International Management or Market, Consumer and Media Psychology and International Marketing Management or International Human Resource Management or International Finance and Accounting. The course materials, rooted in the best practice and based on the latest research in international business management, enable our students to develop the skills and the tools to leverage the business and intercultural challenges and opportunities of the global marketplace. The Bachelor’s program International Business Psychology (B.A.) focuses on human behavior in an economic context, with an emphasis on international business environments. With two integrated semesters abroad in New York and either Shanghai or Sydney the degree program prepares future graduates for various options for career entry in internationally operating companies all over the world. The course language is English and in six semesters covers areas of Business Psychology, Human Resource Management and Personal Development. Besides theoretical knowledge and technical expertise, students develop intercultural and communication skills, and motivation, team and leadership skills. The students spend their fourth and fifth semesters abroad.
