Berlin International - University of Applied Sciences is a state-recognized and non-profit German university of applied sciences located in the center of Berlin. We are determined to offer a challenging, innovative and practice-oriented education that advances the academic, cultural and linguistic potential of our students and prepares them for international careers in a globalized world.

With our diverse student body and academic staff from more than 48 countries and 5 continents, our university embodies internationality and offers an open-minded, intercultural and inspiring study atmosphere.

Berlin International University of Applied Sciences is also part of growing international university network including universities, campuses and academic centers in Hong Kong, Istanbul, Washington D.C., Rome, Silicon Valley, Toronto, and Batumi, thus offering ample opportunities for study and internship exchanges. Our students may also participate in various Erasmus+ programs.

English Bachelor Programs – Design and Business Administration

The language of instruction in all study programs is English. For students who still need to approve their English, we offer an English Preparatory Program. Additionally, in order to further advance international career opportunities, language courses are offered as elective courses.

The quality of all our programs has been positively evaluated and accredited by the state-recognized agency ACQUIN.

Our Vision

The vision of Berlin International University of Applied Sciences is to provide students with a student-centered international and intercultural educational environment to stimulate and develop their intellectual growth, wisdom, and creativity. The academic and administrative staff is committed to guide students and prepare them for productive careers and responsible citizenship in a global society. BI aspires to be one of the leading private universities in Germany in terms of intercultural and interdisciplinary teaching and applied research. Our academic goals include a commitment to knowledge-based solutions and to societal problems as well as contributions to innovation and development in society. In addition, BI promotes cross-cultural and cross-national understanding through international academic co-operation and joint projects. In this respect, it profits from its close relationship with BAU Global Education Network, which consists of five universities. All the universities in this network share the core values of integrity, respect, excellence, innovation, and social responsibility. As an independent institution within this network, Berlin International - University of Applied Sciences has its own individual mission statement and academic profile which has been accepted by the Academic Senate.
