Thomas More University of Applied Sciences

Introduction

Welcome to Thomas More!

Thomas More is the largest university of applied sciences in Flanders, offering over 30 Dutch-taught and 4 English-taught bachelor degree programs in the province of Antwerp. Added to that, Thomas More offers exchange programmes in English, for students from partner universities.

Ideology

Thomas More is a Catholic dialogue school. We welcome everyone, regardless of ideological or religious background, we invite students, parents, staff and governors to help build a warm, open college. #wearemore

IDEE

Within the college, all initiatives around Identity, Dialogue and social Engagement come under IDeE, an acronym meaning idea in Dutch. For instance, together with students and lecturers, we organise a number of activities that inspire dialogue, promote social engagement or invite us to look at others ... and ourselves with an open mind. Every year, we walk part of the pilgrimage route to Compostella, a real educational journey for a close-knit group of students and lecturers. In addition, there are also smaller initiatives, such as a Koffiestop charity coffee break, a Fairtrade breakfast, an iftar, an evening of debate, an interreligious temple tour or book presentation.

Counsellors

Students with questions or doubts about religion or the meaning of life can get in touch with the counsellors at IDeE. Do you have any questions? Don’t wait to contact us, get in touch now via idee@thomasmore.be.

Quiet spaces

On every campus, there are quiet spaces where students can go to pray for a little while or find a moment of peace.

Degree Students

As of September 2016, we are offering a precious selection of English-taught bachelor degree programmes making our high-quality education also accessible for foreign students with high ambitions.
