Bachelor of Design, Interior Design, focuses on a diverse range of interior design areas, including; residential interior design, furniture and installation design, retail interior design, community landscape design and commercial office interior design. Whitehouse offers an intense immersion in materials research and exploration in the process of making new or transforming existing buildings, furniture and objects. Interior Design looks not only at the application of surface materials but more fully at understanding the design of usable spaces that enhance lifestyle. Students investigate some of the most important questions facing designers today, from how to take advantage of changing technologies and new materials to respond to variable economic conditions and evolving lifestyles within the commercial, residential and corporate projects.
