Bachelor in Multimedia Systems Engineering

The didactic mission is oriented toward the training of engineers in the field of Multimedia Systems Engineering able to capitalize on their skills in industry, science, education, and other economic-social fields. In particular, the program has as its mission the specialization of technical higher education graduates in the field of advanced graphics, multimedia, and virtual reality technologies. The scientific research mission aims to develop the scientific personality of students in research directions specific to the field of Multimedia Systems Engineering. Graphics and multimedia are leading and path-breaking fields in the evolution of computer science, they require special scientific training, and virtual reality is one of the most challenging research fields, requiring both technical knowledge specific to systems engineering and interdisciplinary knowledge.

The purpose of the program is to provide the necessary knowledge for the design and development of advanced IT systems that combine elements of computer graphics, multimedia, and virtual reality. The program aims to educate specialists with a high degree of training in a very current field, important for the industry and research in information technology, as well as for the capitalization of innovation in profile companies involved in the development of IT products with a high degree of complexity. The objectives of the Multimedia Systems Engineering degree program are to form both the special technical skills necessary for the development of practical applications or for scientific research in these frontier fields and the ability to adapt to rapid technological developments, but also to create a broad understanding of the role of these technologies in the context of today's society, for their effective, innovative and ethical use.
