Introduction

The Bachelor in Development of Societies and Territories offers a multidisciplinary training combining theoretical lessons in human and social sciences with courses, practical workshops and internships that prepare for a commitment to action.

The aging of the population, globalization, climate change, urban sprawl, rural transformations, democracy, the growth of the knowledge economy, social inequalities and cultural pluralism and ways of life are These are the realities faced by agents of social change that are addressed in this applied social sciences training.

The program aims to improve knowledge and a critical understanding of contemporary social realities that affect the development of societies and territories.

An interdisciplinary training that uses several social science disciplines

The development of societies and territories involves several social science disciplines: anthropology, sociology, geography, political science, economics, history.

The courses make it possible to approach the social and territorial stakes from these different points of view, in order to have a complete and critical perspective of the realities studied.

The Baccalaureate in Development of Companies and Territories facilitates entry into the labor market through courses in administration, ethics, introduction to practice environments, and trainee experience. To complete the course, the student can also choose some enrichment courses in other UQAR .

Theories are mobilized to understand the phenomena of society, promote social innovation and produce reliable knowledge to guide collective action. Double Degree Agreement with the Catholic University of the West (France)

As part of their training, students can take advantage of this agreement allowing them, in addition to obtaining their Bachelor degree in development of companies and territories, to obtain a bachelor's degree in humanities and social sciences, social sciences, courses Applied Sociology and Ethnology at the Université Catholique de l'Ouest, Angers Campus, France.
