Introduction
UW-Superior’s program in Environmental Science provides an excellent education into ways humans interact with land, water and air, and enables students to delve into some of the most pressing issues of our time.
The program emphasizes environmental issues of regional importance of the Lake Superior region, where there is excellent access to forests, wetlands, lakes and other natural resources. Students typically gain practical experience with a research project or internship working in collaboration with faculty and regional environmental agencies including:
- Lake Superior National Estuarine Research Reserve
- Lake Superior Research Institute
- Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources
