Introduction
Education
The purpose of this Degree Course is to acquire the skills and knowledge that characterize the various sectors of the education sciences as well as the learning of methods and procedures for scientific investigation and intervention.
The course is characterized by a multidisciplinary approach to educational and training problems that allows the development of professional skills that are able to address problems through a plural and transdisciplinary logic.
The three-year course in Education offers training:
- anchored to the progress of the most qualified and up-to-date scientific research at international level;
- open to dialogue with other sciences (psychology, sociology, philosophy, history, human sciences …);
- pluralistic with respect to the schools and the theoretical and methodological orientations present in the disciplines;
- interested in applications and interventions that pedagogical knowledge can support.

As for professionals working in early childhood education services and organisations, the HE offer intends to train professionals that are able to work with children aged 0-3 in formal and non-formal settings. The BA course has a multidisciplinary structure and approach. It aims at developing the main methodologies and theories in the field of education and learning in childhood. The BA course is focused on three main thematic areas:
- learning theories in the evolutionary age
- education and learning design methods
- tools for inclusion and game
Job Opportunities
Graduate students can work in early childhood services and organisations like public, private and organizational nurseries, micro nurseries being nurseries that are designed for restricted groups of children and families in private houses, early childhood centers, public and private centers for parents and families.
As for professionals working in social education organisations, the HE offer intends to train professionals who specialized in adult learning within social and organizational settings. Specifically at the end of the BA course degree students are specialized in designing learning actions and interventions for young and old adults connected to diversity management in various social contexts, as well as management of migration flows due to their impact on communities, management of needs for youth and adults’ development and management of centers for education and social aggregation. The BA course is focused on three main thematic areas:
- youth and adult learning theories, educational work within communities
- education and learning design’ methods in social contexts
- active learning methodologies for personal and professional development
Job Opportunities
Graduate students can work as educators and trainers within profit and non-profit centers, organisations, communities. They can work as educators and trainers within social contexts, can work as experts within rehabilitation and cultural centers addressed to youth, adults and elderly, local care services, social assistance centers. Moreover, degree students can be professionals involved in the definition, management, coordination and evaluation of pathways for mediation, integration, guidance as well as education support for the disabled.
Program delivery
In addition to in-presence teaching, which continues to be the preferred method also in the next Academic Year, every single lesson will be simultaneously live-streamed and/or video recorded and uploaded on our digital platform for subsequent viewing. This mode is essential for students who are temporarily unable to be on premises.
