Electromechanics University of Petrosani

The specialization "Electromechanics" is part of the field of Electrical Engineering, being a specialization with tradition in our university. Within the specialization, the acquisition of knowledge in both the electrical and mechanical fields, related to the production sectors, is ensured. The specialization ensures the acquisition of theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of the use of computer technology and microprocessors in general and, in particular, in the design and use of mechanical and electrical systems. The aim is also to acquire knowledge on the use and design of electric machines, classical and modern electric drives, automation and robot installations, power electronics used in electric or other industrial installations, mechanical systems and electrical production installations, and electricity distribution. The training of graduates is carried out with the help of very well trained teachers, in laboratories equipped with equipment and computer technology necessary to acquire practical knowledge, attracting students in scientific research. Graduates of this specialization acquire the necessary training for the design and operation of electrical and mechanical equipment in various fields of enterprises and companies, from maintenance and repair workshops of electromechanical equipment and installations, modern drive and automation equipment.
