WSZOP was founded in 2002, and the university has expanded its educational offer since then. The university's structure is based on two faculties – The faculty of Social and Human Sciences and the Faculty of Technical Sciences.

University of Occupational Safety Management in Katowice (WSZOP) is one of the leading private universities in the region. WSZOP was founded in 2002, and the university has expanded its educational offer since then. The university's structure is based on two faculties – The faculty of Social and Human Sciences and the Faculty of Technical Sciences. The candidates can choose the studies out of six independent areas: Management, Internal Security, Management and Production Engineering, Energetics, English Studies, and Cultural Studies. The university still expands its offer to match the dynamic requirements of the contemporary educational market.

The international character of studies is one of the university’s priorities, beginning the cooperation with numerous different universities in European Union and outside it. One of the university’s advantages is a well-developed Erasmus partnership network that makes student and staff exchange possible.
