The breadth in research expertise provides teaching excellence in areas of biological science including gene regulation and development, microscopy, evolution, environmental physiology, animal behaviour, food web dynamics, invertebrate biology and population ecology. The Biological Science program at the University of Manitoba allows students to specialize in Cell, Molecular and Developmental Biology; Environmental and Integrative Physiology; Evolution and Biodiversity; and Ecology and Environmental Biology and the unique integrative theme allow students to utilize courses in both Biological Sciences and Microbiology.
