What is unique about this program at the U of M?

The studio is the core of the Environmental Design Program. The other courses give support to the studio. All of the professors know each other and work together to create a unique environment where the students' creativity will be encouraged and pushed. Our Faculty researches areas of sustainability, material investigations currently including ice and tensile structures, concrete and furniture design, theoretical approaches, sound, light and art/design.

The University of Manitoba is the only University with all four areas of design under one roof and the only design school between Toronto and Calgary.
