Introduction
BA (Hons) Business with English is designed for students whose first language is not English. The programme allows students the opportunity to explore a range of business topics designed to enable them to understand and develop the skills needed to work for a business operating in a global context.
The programme is made up of three main streams of academic thought: Management, Marketing, and Business English. During the programme, students can develop knowledge, understanding, and capability in key business functions.
Students also study modules in English language designed to develop skills not only in communication but also in negotiation. The programme aims to prepare students for a career in international business and to increase their geographical mobility.

The course aims to provide a thorough understanding of the various aspects of international business and management. More specifically, the programme can help students to demonstrate the linguistic ability necessary for functioning within an international context.
Students will have the opportunity to develop a theoretical and conceptual understanding of business management, enhancing their critical and intellectual capabilities and their awareness of changing environments.
The course can offer a broad curriculum relevant to many international careers, promoting and encouraging continued personal and professional development via lifelong learning.

How You Are Assessed
You will receive formative feedback throughout the term to help you prepare for assessments. This may be through formative assessment (such as ungraded presentations or mock questions), directed activities in seminars, or informal discussions with your seminar tutor. Formative feedback may not be written down and may be directed to a group as well as to an individual.
You will also receive feedback on graded assessments. This usually includes comments detailing the quality of your work and how you could improve your performance, as well as a highlighted criteria grid identifying your performance against the assessed learning outcomes.
For assessed work, the University aims to return graded work to you, with comments, promptly.
