Introduction
As the study of human movement, kinesiology explores a broad range of topics that include anatomy, biomechanics, exercise physiology, sociology, education, active health, wellness, and nutrition.
In the UFV Kinesiology program, you go well beyond the questions of how and why we move and start to explore how we can optimize the human potential for motor skill performance.
Not only do you benefit from UFV's smaller class sizes, but you also have additional opportunities for hands-on experience in the human performance lab, in the community, and in professional settings.
The UFV Kinesiology program provides you with the flexibility to explore a variety of topics that interest you before you choose to specialize in exercise science or pedagogy.
The exercise science option is ideal if you aim for a career as a registered kinesiologist, want to go to graduate school, or plan to apply to a professional program such as physiotherapy, massage therapy, medicine, or chiropractics.
The pedagogy option is a great choice if you wish to pursue a career in an instructional setting, as a teacher, community recreation instructor, personal trainer, sports performance advisor, fitness consultant, or an administrator.
