As internationally observed trends demonstrate, cosmetologists are becoming more and more sought after.
The demand for care and beauty services is ever-growing and nowadays is not limited solely to women. The program of study in the field of Cosmetology guarantees that you will gain practical knowledge of Cosmetology, based on the most recent scientific research and on cutting-edge technological developments.

Scholarships and Funding
While studying at UEHS, you can take advantage of a wide range of financial support from the state budget and European funds, as well as benefit from special discounts with the UEHS discount program.
Scholarship
The scholarship may be awarded to any student who obtained an average grade not lower than 4.5 in an academic year given.
In the academic year 2020/2021, the University of Economics and Humanities in Warsaw awarded 292 Rector’s Scholarships, ranging from PLN 450 /month to PLN 650 /month, depending on the average or achievements. For outstanding sports, artistic or scientific achievements, the Scholarship Committee awarded scholarships of PLN 450 /month.
Sports scholarships
A sports scholarship may be awarded to a student who excels in sports achievements at least national level. In addition, we also encourage our students to take part in additional support programs- e.g., the National Academic Representation.
Young sportsmen can count on financial support in the amount of PLN 450 /month.
Special scholarships for disabled people
A scholarship for people with disabilities may be awarded to a student who has a disability certificate, a disability degree certificate, a ZUS certifying physician’s certificate, a disability group certificate, or a certificate of permanent or long-term incapacity to work on a farm.
In the 2020/2021 academic year, depending on the degree of disability, 79 scholarships for people with disabilities were awarded, ranging from PLN 800 /month to PLN 1000 /month.
Allowances
An allowance is a form of emergency financial assistance. Any student who finds himself temporarily in a difficult life situation resulting from random events beyond the student’s control can apply for it.
The allowance may be granted twice in one academic year, and the allowance is not granted twice for the same random event. Difficult life situations caused by the COVID-19 pandemic are an exception.
In 2020, we granted 64 allowances for a total of PLN 113,200.50. The allowances, depending on the student’s situation, were paid in the amount of PLN 1,000 to PLN 2,500 at a time.
Curriculum
The program includes subjects concerned with the understanding and practical use of scientific knowledge related to Cosmetology.
First Year of Study
During the first year, most subjects are concerned with the basic sciences related to medicine and clinical sciences. Their objective is to ensure that students acquire the knowledge and basic skills required for all specialists working in the health sector in a broad sense of the word, including cosmetologists. These subjects will constitute the foundation for scientific understanding of the functioning and biology of the human body. The first-year program also includes numerous courses dedicated to basic Cosmetology issues.
First Semester

In the first year, each student selects:
A – one out of two subjects offered within each of the following groups:
- Organization and Management Theory or Introduction to Economics
- Introduction to Psychology or Introduction to Social Communication
- Aesthetics, Anthropology;
B – two out of three subjects from each of the following groups:
- Biochemistry and/or Genetics and/or Medical Statistics
- Parasitology / Allergology and/or Microbiology;
The courses will be open providing that a required minimum number of students enroll.
Second Year of Study
The program for the second year includes subjects centered around specialist knowledge required by all cosmetologists. Starting from the fourth term, students do their work experience (in non-clinical institutions) and initiate work on their own social projects, which in this field of study replaces a written BA thesis.
Third Semester

In the second year, students select one out of two subjects offered within each of the following groups:
- Entrepreneurship or Project Management;
- Business Organization (in the spa, wellness, and biological regeneration industry) or Business Organization (in the cosmetics and cosmetology industry).
The courses will be open providing that a required minimum number of students enroll.
Third Year of Study
In the third year, next to new major subjects, the program also includes those subjects whose objective is to give students practical knowledge concerning a cosmetologist’s job and running their own business. Students may choose, from a wide range of elective courses, those subjects which will allow them to focus on issues of interest.
Fifth Semester

In the third year, each student selects:
A – one out of two subjects offered within each of the following groups:
- Introduction to Marketing or Introduction to Advertising;
- Photography and Photographic Documentation or Computer Graphics;
- Introduction to Dietetics or Introduction to Human Nutrition;
- Physiotherapy and Message or Wellness, Spa and Anti-Aging;
- Psychopathology or Psychosomatics;
- Fitness Training or Aerobics.
B – two out of three subjects are offered within the following group:
- Interpersonal Training and/or Training Skills and/or Management Skills.
The courses will be open providing that a required minimum number of students enroll.
