Professional accreditation
Our undergraduate psychology degree is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS), assuring the quality of our teaching and your degree. All practising psychologists and Chartered Psychologists must have a British Psychological Society accredited degree and a postgraduate qualification and be registered with the Health and Care Professionals (HCPC).

These include once-a-semester week-long intensive employability weeks with input from a clinical psychology admissions tutor, clinical psychologists, a local educational psychologist, a psychological wellbeing practitioner and a range of businesses keen to attract psychology professionals.
In addition, there is an exciting range of placement opportunities such as teacher training, mentoring young people, mental health services, placement with the Bradford District Care Trust in clinical psychology (on a competitive basis prioritising under-represented groups), and working in the 'Born in Bradford' project.

Learning and assessment
The teaching, learning and assessment strategy aims to develop active learning and takes into consideration the need for you to take greater responsibility for your learning as you progress through the programme. Career prospects
A graduate with a psychology degree from the University of Bradford is highly valued by employers as they can examine issues in depth and make constructive judgements on them, and they can work in groups to resolve problems or research issues.
Studying with us is the first step towards an exciting career in clinical, occupational, forensic, counselling, health or educational psychology.
The course also provides key transferable skills relevant to a variety of careers, including social work, personnel management, market research, advertising, teaching, broadcasting, nursing, the police and the Armed Forces.
Further study and research are also an option through MPhil and PhD programmes at the University.
Career support
The University is committed to helping students develop and enhance employability and this is an integral part of many programmes. Specialist support is available throughout the course from Career and Employability Services including help to find part-time work while studying, placements, vacation work and graduate vacancies. Students are encouraged to access this support at an early stage and to use the extensive resources on the Careers website.
