Major in Pedagogy

As part of the Pedagogy course, which integrates social sciences and humanities, a qualified staff of educators and teachers is prepared, who will also be animators of social life, culture - its dissemination and development in the social environment. This contributes to the creation of new elites and social leaders. The field of study prepares people to work with people of different ages (children, youth, adults, the elderly), as well as with diverse needs, meeting social expectations and pointing to the value of differences, as well as the humanistic importance of supporting the weaker and those requiring special educational activities. Through individualization, a friendly atmosphere and financial support, it creates favorable study conditions for young people and adults, especially those for whom access to large academic centers is difficult or impossible.

Graduate profile

A graduate of Pedagogy has basic general pedagogical, historical and philosophical, sociological and psychological knowledge, necessary to understand the socio-cultural context of education, upbringing and care work, and to shape one's own professional development.

A graduate obtains basic professional qualifications depending on the chosen specialty:

Specialty: PWP

• as a teacher - in accordance with the standards of education preparing for the teaching profession, as a tutor in kindergartens, primary schools in grades 1-3, educational local government agencies, school and community centres, Jordan gardens, family orphanages and professional foster families, as a family assistant in the commune.

Specialty: POiR

• as an educator in children's homes, emergency care centers, community centres, multifunctional care and education facilities and in such facilities as: Youth Educational Centre, Youth Sociotherapy Centre, Juvenile Shelter, Correctional Facility, Remand Centre, Prison.

Specialty: POzG

• as a pedagogue and school pedagogue, as an educator in educational institutions (community centres, dormitories, dormitories), in institutions subordinated to the Minister of National Education (clubs, associations, etc.), in institutions subordinate to the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare (24-hour and day support centers for children, youth, adults and seniors as a carer, educator, health educator), as well as in secular, religious, non-governmental, private, home and institutionalized forms of help for seniors and their families (day homes, senior clubs, interest clubs, self-help groups).

• as a teacher of integration classes and classes in kindergartens, supporting teacher in grades 1-3, teacher of special schools and kindergartens, teacher of individual teaching with students with specific educational needs, in educational and educational centres, therapeutic centres, rehabilitation, educational and educational centres, associations , foundations, societies working for disabled children.
