Our Bachelor of Arts (BA) students come from all walks of life. These people go to education, to law, or want to explore several subjects such as political science, Spanish, history, psychology, French studies, etc. The General BA is a flexible program designed to help you broaden your general knowledge, develop critical thinking and better understand your cultural, social and economic reality. It's a program that teaches you how to learn and helps you apply good methodology.

Program overview

Why choose a single discipline when you can explore several? The General BA is a three-year program (90 credits) that touches on a variety of subjects, whether in languages, literature, humanities or social sciences. Find out what you love and broaden your horizons.

The school has two admissions: one in September for all programs and one in January for university programs only. However, between May 1, 2022 and July 1, 2022, Canadians will still be able to register for the start of the September re-entry, while internationals will have to wait until the next re-entry, either in January 2023 or September 2023, according to their program.

Additional information

This program combines a major discipline (30 credits), a minor discipline (18 credits) and a variety of elective courses.

It is possible to study law in French after your general Bachelor of Arts without taking the LSAT (Law School Admission Test) exam!

Continuing Studies

This BA is the perfect route to access the Bachelor of Education (B. Ed.).

It can also lead to traditional law studies (with LSAT) or on file (without LSAT) at the francophone universities of Moncton and Ottawa, which reserve places for our students.

The holder of a BA can also access other professional programs which require a first baccalaureate.

For other higher studies, the door remains open on condition that you pass certain specific courses or an additional year of study. If you are considering a master's degree, find out from the start of your BA
