Introduction
The audiovisual industry continues to be one of the fastest growing in the world. The cultural and economic impact that media such as television, cinema and new multimedia products generate in contemporary societies is evident.
With the accelerated advancement of Information and Communication Technologies in the audiovisual sector, new channels and services have emerged, and the need to design new strategies to retain their audiences and interact with others.
The constant proliferation of new technologies, products and processes in audiovisual production and dissemination constitutes a challenge and at the same time a great opportunity for new communication professionals.
For this reason, the degree in Audiovisual Communication at UNEATLANTICO has been designed to provide students with the following skills:
- Analysis of communication and recognition processes of the Information Society.
- Mastery of conventional techniques for audiovisual production and realization.
- Tools to understand and create multimedia products.
- Design and direction of own audiovisual projects.
- In addition, optional itineraries are offered in Journalism, and Advertising and Public Relations.

Currently, one of the essential tools in international communication, and the key that opens the possibilities to find a good job both in Spain and abroad, is English. In our country, 80% of job offers already require an excellent command of this language and, on many occasions, this criterion is imposed above others such as the record or professional career.
That is why at the Universidad Europea del Atlántico and the Degree in Audiovisual Communication, training in this language is promoted and four compulsory English language subjects are included in the study plan with the aim that the student reaches a high level in this language. So that the previous level of English does not pose a barrier to access to studies, UNEATLANTICO provides personalized teaching, especially during the first year, so that all students achieve sufficient language skills in English with which to successfully pass the subjects of the career.
