Introduction
Project management is a professional discipline, with its own body of knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to successfully achieve specific goals and objectives within a specified time and constraints. It involves managing a project from inception to completion through the five main phases which include the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closing of the project. The Bachelor of Project Management (Honours) program covers the core disciplinary courses which include Project Management, Integrated Project Management, Project Estimation and Budgeting, Project Scheduling and Control, Project Quality Management, Project Procurement, Project Risk Management, and Sustainability, and Green Project Management.
The Bachelor of Project Management program adopts a generic approach to project management and is applicable to any project in a variety of industries such as construction, engineering, education, health, commerce, information technology, research, and development. Upon completion of the program, the students will be able to work in the capacity of Coordinators and Leads, Executives, Officers, and Managers within the industry. The Project Management Institute (PMI) predicted that Project Management will be the fastest-growing occupation and there is a growing demand for Project Executives and Managers all over the world.
