Introduction
This program is centered towards meeting the much-anticipated growing demand for professionals with expertise in the emerging Industry Revolution 4.0, specifically in the area of the Internet of Things (IoT). The program is designed to focus on the higher-end of the IoT ecosystem stacks; namely Computing & Storage, Apps & Services, and Analytics. In the program, the students will be exposed to IoT infrastructure, device integration, applications, and data analytics. The program also offers some value-added components such as certification and industrialmanship.

Career Opportunities
The market survey as revealed from the National IoT Strategic Roadmap indicates that the implementation of the Internet of Things would contribute to RM9.5 billion (US$2.5 billion at current rates) to the country’s gross national income (GNI) by 2020, and RM42.5 billion (US$11.2 billion) by 2025. Based on the anticipated size of business related to IoT technology locally and globally, it is expected that employability opportunities in this field of technology are really convincing. The expertise in IoT design, IoT development, and implementation of innovative applications and products for the IR 4.0 revolution will be very needed. Graduates from this program will be able to undertake roles such as IoT developer, IoT architect, IoT solution engineer, Data Analyst, and IoT consultant.
