Introduction

The hospitality industry is diverse in nature and provides abundant job opportunities worldwide. This program is aimed to guide students through a progression route for rapid advancement in the career with the industry upon graduation. Technical skills in both food and beverage and room divisions, as well as managerial and personal skills, are incorporated into the program to facilitate employment opportunities among local or international establishments.

Entry Requirements

Students must meet the following requirements in order to be considered for entry to Bachelor of Hospitality Management (Honours) in TAR UC:
• A-Level – Passes in 2 relevant subjects (O Leve: Pass in English)
• TAR UC Qualification – Foundation in Arts (Track B) OR Relevant Diploma
•Other – Other qualifications recognized by the Malaysia Government and meet TAR UC minimum entry requirements

IELTS Requirement: Band 5.0

Academic Facility

Training Restaurant, Kitchen and Beverage Lab

Food and Beverage practices are deemed to be vital elements within the hospitality programs. Our state of the art training restaurant and kitchen serve as a platform for students to deliver their full-service restaurant skills and at the same time to showcase their gourmet masterpieces confidently during their practical training.
To further deepen our students’ knowledge in a professional environment; we have recently added a top-notch contemporary dining restaurant equipped with a cutting edge training kitchen designed to replicate real-life situations.
The beverage is no doubt a huge component in the hospitality industry with our new purpose-built beverage lab and full bar facilities; our students are able to explore the world of wine and experiment with mixology.

Dual Award Option

Students to opt for the Dual Award option in Year 2 of Bachelor Degree program.
Students can opt for the Dual Award with one year Study Abroad. Upon successful completion of the programs, students will obtain three degrees awarded by TAR UC, IMI and MMU (Manchester Metropolitan University in the UK)
