Introduction
Meeting a critical need for special education teachers
The need for special education teachers is expected to grow up to 12 percent before 2022. Trine University will prepare you to help meet this need with Special Education: Mild Intervention (P-12) Dual Licensure.
Dual licensure: The best of both worlds
Special Education: Mild Intervention (P-12) Dual Licensure is a uniquely blended program available to all education majors as part of their four-year program. Along with the focus of any stand-alone education major, students in the dual licensure program take classes from qualified, experienced professors from both fields.
The Special Education: Mild Intervention (P-12) Dual Licensure program requires an additional 12 hours of coursework spread over five courses. For more information about adding this dual licensure to your education degree program, contact your academic advisor.
