Structure
Business Track | In the first semester, students with a Communication/Media degree develop the necessary creative business skills needed to empower your degree!
Media Track | In the first semester, students with a Business degree develop practical, hands-on media skills needed to empower your degree!
Bring it together | In the second semester, students put all their business and media skills and talents together to develop original media and entertainment concepts.
Courses
Visit the program webpage to get an overview of the courses (under reservation of changes), with the number of credits per phase. Credits express how many hours you need on average to process the subject matter (incl. lessons). Count about 25 to 30 hours for 1 study credit.
In practice
During the 6-week summer internship, you gain valuable skills based on the knowledge and practice received during the two semesters. This internship – a requirement for all – can be done within the Belgian landscape or in an International landscape!
This internship combines the skills/knowledge from both the media and entertainment business as you explore your passion. You can do your internship in any media or entertainment field, including TV production, music, theatre, gaming, VR, and distribution.

Thomas More offers various support services (STUVO, International Support) to assist all of our students.
In addition, we offer additional support related to language skills, including writing and speaking in English.
In keeping up with the latest advancements in media technology, the Media and Entertainment Business (International) program will use a variety of educational methodologies, including face-to-face, blended learning, and online learning, allowing students to learn in a manner suitable to them.
Go international
This program includes a high level of internationalization by infusing each course with international competencies and content. The courses are aligned with our international interactive experiences.
Via these International Interactive Experiences, we offer opportunities to visit both New York City and Beijing/Shanghai, allowing students the ability to discover the MEB landscapes in these two distinct regions of the world.
International Trips
During your studies, you have the opportunity to participate in two different international experiences:
- a one-week NYC Media Experience or
- a two-week Chinese Entertainment Business Experience.
During the NYC trip, you will experience how the Big Apple – the media capital of the United States – sustains a fulfilled media experience for tourists and New Yorkers alike! You visit the international-recognized Paley Center for Media – an archive of American and international media, backstage tours at media companies (like NBC or Vox Media), immersive experiences (like The Color Factory and The Museum of Illusions), museums (The Museum of the Moving Image). In addition, you will attend live tapings of late-night shows or daytime shows.
During the Chinese trip, you will experience how media and entertainment are consumed by one of the single largest media publics in the world. In conjunction with Hutong University, we visit various media and experienced events – like theme parks, film festivals, and media companies – while interacting with Chinese university students. In addition, we visit some of the most popular sightseeing spots in China, including the Great Wall!
