Introduction
Our business and marketing degree will give you broad business skills, including project management and strategic thinking, plus a thorough grounding in marketing.
Our business with marketing degree introduces you to business from an analytical, strategic and marketing point of view. Emphasis on emerging issues such as sustainability, financial crises and technological innovation means that you'll gain the skills to develop and manage businesses to a high standard. The course also gives you the opportunity to work with business professionals and/or local communities on live projects.
Careers in specialist strategic marketing areas are popular with business with marketing graduates, especially within retail management, consultancy, small to medium businesses and start-ups.

Career Opportunities
Will I have a work placement?
Work placements are optional, and you are responsible for arranging your placement with support from the university.
Former students of the accounting and finance course have secured placements at IBM, Northern Trust, Goldman Sachs, Lawrence Grant Solicitors, and Currency Exchange Corporations Ltd.
How long is my placement?
Work placements are 9-12 months of full-time paid work. You take this between the second and third years of study.
What are the financial arrangements?
UK placement annual salaries range between £13,000-£18,000 pro rata. Some charity/voluntary work organizations offer travel costs and lunch expenses in lieu of a full salary.
What sort of careers do graduates pursue?
Career opportunities are available with a specialist strategic marketing focus in general management within retail, consultancy, small to medium enterprises, and business start-ups.
Are internships available?
Internships are optional, and last for a minimum of six weeks. Gain a Certificate in Professional Practice and valuable employment experience before graduating.
