Introduction
We offer an international education with a study program dedicated to film and audiovisual storytelling for different distribution platforms starting from the Internet and ending with cinemas. We believe in a team-based filmmaking model with doing it yourself approach leaning into creative & indie narrative-driven stories and creating live and pre-recorded TV to high broadcast standards. You can master the technical field by studying editing, cinematography, lighting, color grading, sound recording, and sound design or venture onto the creative track gaining skills in producing, screenwriting, assistant directing, and directing.
The study program's aim is to teach and explore STORYTELLING in different audiovisual forms: documentary/fiction/series/multicam/broadcast/ advertising/corporate /music video.
During the studies, you will focus on three elements: Storytelling, Creativity, and Development. Students will work on projects from their inception, from creating the story to pitching, packaging, shooting, and post-production.
Are you more interested in the creative or the technical side of filmmaking? You can choose between two branches:
Creative Module:
- Script Writing
- Producing
- Directing
- Assistant Director
Technical Module:
- Editing
- Colorist
- Cinematographer
- Gaffer
- Sound Designer
- Sound Recordist
All students will learn the basic tools of filmmaking from script writing and packaging to video production and post-production but within the selected branch Creative or Technical students will get more in-depth knowledge and skills in their respective areas.
Studies take place in a multicultural environment, with students working side-by-side with professors and fellow students from many different countries. The Media study program offers a good balance between practical and theoretical studies. Student productions and creative assignments are developed and produced in teams, using up-to-date equipment and newly built production facilities. Students will learn how to use industry-standard programs like ProTools, Davinci Resolve Studio, and high-end studio and field equipment ranging from DSLR cameras to ARRI Amira.
