With its more than 1,7 million inhabitants, Budapest is the capital and the biggest city of Hungary. The city is situated along the two banks of the Danube, on the left-hand side Pest and on the right-hand side Buda can be found. The Campuses of the Corvinus University of Budapest are located the Buda and the Pest side too. The main building of the University can be found on the geographically flat Pest side, while the buildings of the Faculty of Food Science have located the Buda side in a wonderful botanic garden on the Gellért Hill. The University buildings can easily be reached by public transportation from any part of Budapest. Here in Budapest, in this colorful metropolis, you may find unique attractions including the Royal Palace of Buda, the House of Parliament, the Matthias Church and Heroes' Square. Citing the city's unparalleled panorama, UNESCO declared Budapest, Hungary's capital, "the Pearl of the Danube", a World Heritage site.
