Bachelor of Science - CHEMISTRY & BIOCHEMISTRY

You’ll study the major divisions of chemistry and understand how current practices and principles are used in solving chemical problems. You’ll be well informed in current chemical knowledge, the applications of chemistry concepts, and the nature of the underlying scientific processes employed in the acquisition of chemical knowledge.

A chemistry major from St. Mary’s College offers hands-on research opportunities in a small class setting. You will work closely with your professors throughout the chemistry program. You can even complete an independent research project (the St. Mary's Project) during your senior year. Plus, our flexible liberal arts curriculum means many of our chemistry students get to study abroad!
