Introduction
Social work - engine and motivator of society
Note: Those interested in studying social work are asked to first look for a practice partner according to the information under "Application process".
The SRH Hochschule Hamm is currently examining the offer of a face-to-face course in social work.
The official recognition of "social work" as a subject was only made possible in 2001 by the German Rectors' Conference (HRK) and the Conference of Ministers of Education (KMK). In many other countries, it has long been considered an independent scientific discipline in which numerous research projects are carried out.
Social work tries to solve and prevent social problems on a scientific basis. Social work is therefore concerned with enabling people in problem situations, developing their possibilities, organizing themselves, but also making living together with other people satisfying.
Goals of the course
