Shizuoka Eiwa Gakuin University
About
Shizuoka Eiwa Gakuin University was founded in 1887 by Canadian missionaries. In 1966, the junior college was first opened and then, in 2002, the university was established. As such, Eiwa has a long tradition in education based on Christian values. We are tremendously proud of our graduates, many of whom have contributed to the regional development. With Christianity as its cornerstone, our approach to education and study is grounded in the spirit of “Love and Service”. In this modern world, it is important to create a convivial society, where people respect the diversity and difference of individuals. To respect each other is nothing but “the practice of love” as in our scripture, “a faith that includes the practice of love is most important.” It is also to “Love your neighbor as yourself.” I would be grateful if you could deepen your learning in various academic fields in order to create a sustainable society. In that learning process, please be aware that you are loved, and serve others with your deepest love. At Eiwa, you will meet people who will become your friends for life and will find true enrichment of life. It is my wish that all of Eiwa’s students open up the future of a convivial society.
