By earning a Bachelor of Arts in Actuarial Science, graduates are prepared for professional careers in the insurance, consulting, and banking industries.

Career Opportunities

High school coursework that will support a student in his or her pursuit of an actuarial science degree includes experience in Calculus, Statistics, and Economics.

International students are encouraged to apply by July 1st of each calendar year for the Fall semester. We offer plenty of scholarships and financial awards available for international first-time freshmen and transfer students at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota.

Students who submit and complete their admission file by July 1st will be reviewed and receive an admission decision 1-2 weeks after submitting their admission file.

Special course fees (computer, laboratory, private lessons, studio, etc.) may be assigned to specific courses.

New students who have been admitted are asked to confirm their attendance by sending a $300 non-refundable deposit to the university. Returning students must pay a $250 housing deposit prior to housing registration. This deposit is credited to the student's account.
