Introduction
Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU, est. in 1950) is a modern, prestigious university recognised in Europe and the world that provides research-based, high-quality and exportable higher education. We offer mostly medical and healthcare studies, however, the number of RSU study programmes in social sciences is increasing every year. The programmes taught in English are Medicine (MD), Dentistry (DDS), International Business and Start-up Entrepreneurship (Bachelor’s) as well as Master’s programmes in Health Management, International Governance (Diplomacy) and Russia and Eurasia Studies. 10000 students are studying at RSU out of which 2600 are international students. Our students represent 70 different countries (90% of RSU international students are from the EU/EEA countries).

Admissions
- Education documents obtained abroad must be translated into English by a certified translation office (except if the documents are in English).
- Diploma transcripts must contain grades in the compulsory subjects specified in the admission requirements of the respective study program.
Registration fee
- 100 EUR (regardless of the number of study programs chosen in the application at one study level)
Rankings
RSU has been recognized as the best university with the highest reputation in Latvia. Since 2018, RSU has been ranked by QS rankings (801-1000), and since 2021 also by Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings (501-600). 2022 RSU ranks 115 in the prestigious THE Emerging Economies Ranking, 119 in the QS EECA University Rankings, 301-400 among the world’s leading universities in THE Impact Rankings, and 501-550 in QS World’s best medical universities. Also in 2021, RSU was among the 25 Best Universities in the World in two U-Multirank 2021 Ranking categories.
