Introduction
Explore the power of movement and the art of storytelling with the dance-theatre major at Reed College. Our interdisciplinary program delves deeply into the many facets of dance and theatre so you can discover how one enriches the other. Focus your study with one of our emphases, such as performance or choreography. Engage in close analysis of diverse practices and performances, and undertake a sustained creative or scholarly research project with a bachelor’s degree in dance-theatre.
Our dance-theatre program blends practical experience with the study of theory and history. Work directly with dedicated faculty, who help you hone your skills and allow you to take risks as an artist. Complete your senior thesis project, the culmination of your Reed experience.
