Bachelor in Marine Transport Management Engineering

Maritime Transportation and Management Engineering department is committed to addressing the educational and research needs to ensure sustainable management of maritime resources. Main research activities involve ship handling, port and agency management.

The Bachelor Degree of “Recep Tayyip Erdogan University Turgut Kıran Maritime College, Maritime Transportation and Management Engineering” is provided to the graduate students of the Department of Maritime Transportation and Management Engineering. Those graduate students entitled to take the examination of “Watchkeeping Officer” is organized by the Turkish Ministry of Transportation, Maritime Affairs and Communications, Maritime Transportation General management in accordance with the provisions of “The Regulation regarding the principles of the Training, Certification, Examination, Watch-keeping, Registering and Equipment”. The graduates of this department can be assigned as “Watchkeeping Officer “on various international/national merchant ships. Moreover, besides STCW-95 Certification Courses, “Basic Maritime Training” and “Officer Training “courses can be opened with permission of the Turkish Ministry of Transportation, Maritime Affairs and Communications, Maritime Transportation General management
