Career Opportunities
What Can You Do with a Pharm.D. or Ph.D. in Pharmacy Degree?
While both doctoral programs in pharmacy will give you a deep understanding of pharmaceutical science, they lead to different types of careers.
A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) will train you to become a pharmacist that can work in a variety of places, from the neighborhood pharmacy to hospitals and long-term care facilities.
A Ph.D. in Pharmacy is more focused on research and the development of new medicines and vaccines. At NSU, you can specialize in your Ph.D. with a concentration in drug development (pharmaceutics), molecular medicine and pharmacogenomics, or social and administrative pharmacy.
