Program Outcome
The Degree in Applied Chemistry is a 3-year course for students interested in Science and provides a broad university education in the areas of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biochemistry and Genetics.
The structure of the course values experimental work, with a strong laboratory component and the use of scientific equipment, in addition to student contact with ongoing research at NOVA School of Science and Technology | FCT NOVA, namely in the Departments of Chemistry and Life Sciences (Research Centers of the Chemistry and Technology Network (REQUIMTE), which since 2015 integrates the Associated Laboratory for Green Chemistry (LAQV), and the Research Unit for Applied Molecular Biosciences (UCIBIO), as well as the Center for Research in Human Molecular Genetics, (CIGMH) ). The Degree in Applied Chemistry gives access to 2nd cycle courses (Masters) in various scientific areas, from Chemistry to Biology or Biomedical Sciences.
This Degree is structured according to the Bologna model, with strong encouragement for student exchanges with European Universities (Erasmus+ programme).
