Exit Requirements for Business Majors
In addition to Northern State University graduation requirements, baccalaureate business majors must:
- Complete a minimum of 30 semester hours of course work in the School of Business at Northern State University. Acceptance of coursework completed at other colleges and universities will be evaluated by the Dean.
- Take the School of Business exit exam
Suggested Double Majors: Banking and Financial Services, Criminal Justice, Finance, International Business, Management, Marketing, Management Information Systems, Spanish.
Suggested Minors: Agribusiness (jointly with SDSU), Banking and Financial Services, Criminal Justice, Economics, Entrepreneurial Studies, Human Resource Management, International Business Studies, Marketing, Management Information Systems, Political Science, Spanish.

Internships
Northern's accounting program supports career readiness through internships that give you a chance to apply your skills in the workplace and gain real-world experience in a variety of fields, such as auditing and taxation, banking and finance, and management.
Northern students have interned with public accounting and private industry firms as well as government agencies. As an intern, you also can earn academic credit towards the completion of your degree.
