Introduction
Why pursue a management degree at North Central College?
Now more than ever, we can’t tackle complex management challenges with business solutions alone. North Central faculty understand that. Our business management program uses innovative teaching techniques, sometimes drawing from fields as diverse as mythology and neuroscience to illuminate business concepts and show you how viewing problems from multiple perspectives can lead to creative solutions. Students will learn more about getting things done efficiently and effectively in a business environment, whatever the challenge and wherever your career path takes you— whether it be healthcare management, sports management, technical or governmental areas.
By pursuing a bachelor's degree in management at North Central, you can also:
- Gain professional experience, put your business education to the test and compete with award-winning teams by joining the American Marketing Association (AMA), Entrepreneurship and International Business Organization (EIBO), or Enactus.
- Our management program allows students to find competitive internships and career path opportunities through faculty and alumni networks or through our Career Development Center.
- Simulate trades and access thousands of proprietary reports and data screens in the Bloomberg Finance Lab, where 10 workstations are equipped with the Bloomberg Terminal software, the iconic dual monitors, and Bloomberg’s unique keyboards. You can also choose to become “Bloomberg certified” by completing a series of modules that cover economic theory, economic indicators, currencies, fixed income vehicles, options, equities, and more.
- Travel, study, and work internationally through our education abroad and international internship programs.
- Management develops students' understanding of organizations and their role in society. Students develop skills in data analysis, organizational structure, and supply chain management while emphasizing the responsibilities of organizations to promote a more sustainable future. In a rapidly changing world, students gain an appreciation for the responsibilities of corporations to not only be profitable but to also be stewards of the environment and social justice.
