Introduction
The program in political science provides a comprehensive set of theoretical and empirical strategies for understanding political experience with all its complexities. The department offers four distinct disciplines of political knowledge seeking and analysis:
- American politics

- International relations

Scholarships up to USD 25,000 for International Students
Moravian University offers an International Student Merit Award based primarily on academic achievement: grades, the strength of your academic program, your TOEFL or IELTS scores, and your SAT scores if submitted.
Curriculum
The curriculum emphasizes the ability to recognize, evaluate and debate those fundamental human issues, power differentials, and diverse actors that have shaped political institutions, practices, and texts. Students majoring in political science are well-prepared to pursue graduate training in a variety of fields, including public policy, law, journalism, political science, and related social science fields.
Internships
Students in political science often complete internships as a means of extending their classroom learning, building foundations for professional careers, and establishing networks that serve as a platform for entry into public affairs. The internship also can be used to meet major requirements and as electives in the major. Students generally arrange for their own placements but can do so with assistance from departmental faculty. Program Outcome
- Students will demonstrate mastery with regard to the terminology, concepts, and historical benchmarks of the four represented academic subfields within political science.
- Students will learn classic and contemporary approaches to the study of political processes, citizenship, and democratic participation.
- Students will acquire a cosmopolitan understanding of international events, political systems and cultures, and power relations.
