Montreat College rsquo;s Psychology and Human Services program provides a solid foundation for counseling and other human services work: a rich liberal arts experience, interactive classes, and research experience. The course work blends psychology, counseling, and social work, preparing students to apply the knowledge and experience they gain in a wide variety of occupational settings.
Psychology and Human Services is a field of study that focuses on understanding human behavior and helping individuals and communities to improve their overall well-being. It involves the study of psychology, sociology, social work, and counseling, and their practical application in various settings. The curriculum for a Psychology and Human Services degree typically includes courses in psychology, human development, sociology, counseling, and social work. Students may also have the opportunity to take courses in specialized areas such as mental health, substance abuse, or family therapy.
