Introduction

It is a non-certification program that prepares students to work outside the traditional classroom setting. Students in the Educational Studies program will develop a better understanding of the teaching and learning process in order to work in organizations that support the development of children, youth, and adults.

Educational Studies is a multidisciplinary field that focuses on the study of education, learning, and teaching. It involves the examination of the social, cultural, historical, and political contexts of education, as well as the development of educational theory and practice.

The curriculum for an Educational Studies degree typically includes courses in education policy, philosophy of education, curriculum development, educational psychology, and research methods. Students may also have the opportunity to take courses in specialized areas such as multicultural education, special education, or educational leadership. In addition to coursework, students in an Educational Studies program may be required to participate in internships, practicums, or other experiential learning opportunities to gain practical experience in education. They may also have the opportunity to participate in educational studies clubs or professional organizations on campus. Graduates of an Educational Studies program may pursue careers in a variety of fields, including education policy, curriculum development, educational research, or educational leadership.

They may work in a variety of settings, including government agencies, non-profit organizations, or educational institutions. Alternatively, they may choose to pursue advanced degrees in educational studies or related fields, such as a Master of Education or a Doctor of Education.
