Introduction

The program helps students mold their musical interest and talent into a career. The curriculum for our Music program is based upon a philosophy that balances professionalism and excellence in musicianship with the development of the whole person ndash;mind, spirit, and body ndash;through the General Education Core requirements. Underlying all we do is a commitment to the integration of faith and learning.Music is a field of study that focuses on the creation, performance, and analysis of music. It involves the study of various musical genres, styles, and traditions, as well as the development of technical skills in music theory, composition, and performance.

The curriculum for a Music degree typically includes courses in music theory, music history, music performance, and music technology. Students may also have the opportunity to take courses in specialized areas such as jazz studies, music education, or music business. In addition to coursework, students in a Music program may be required to participate in ensembles, concerts, or other performance opportunities to gain practical experience in music.

They may also have the opportunity to participate in music clubs or professional organizations on campus.
