Introduction

Millsaps College offers the following pathways for those interested in education, education-allied fields, or youth-focused professions.

  • Pursue a teaching license in secondary education(grades 7-12) through our partnership with William Carey University. Earn credit that can then be applied to a master's degree in teaching from William Carey.
  • Pursue a teaching license in elementary education (grades 4-6) through our partnership with William Carey University. Earn credit that can then be applied to a master's degree in teaching from William Carey, where you can extend your teaching licensure to include grades K-3.
  • Minor in Education Studies. This is a great choice for those interested in education-allied or youth-focused professions such as school counseling/psychology, speech pathology, library science, education policy work, youth ministry, etc.
  • Prepare to pursue a Master's in Urban Education through our partnership with Rhodes College.
