The honours degree top-up year provides an academic and theoretical understanding to a range of modules that are core knowledge requirements for future public sector workers. There is a concentration on the development of leadership and problem-solving skills in each of the modules. The degree has close employer links, and course content is regularly updated to keep abreast of current trends and changes in public sector organisations and delivery. The Degree has a variety of different assessments. This includes essays, presentations, coursework, problem-solving case studies, self-evaluation, peer review and exams and research evaluation. Tutorial support is an important aspect of the degree structure.
