Introduction
What's the International Fashion Marketing course about?
This is a business course which focuses on the fashion industry. The main aims of the programme are to develop a deeper knowledge and understanding of the principles of fashion marketing within an international context and to enable individuals to apply the principles of fashion production within a global marketing environment. The course balances both practical business and management skills with academic analytical rigor.
The course consists of the following modules:
- Corporate strategy & the Fashion Industry: This unit explores strategy techniques and processes in global industry environments relevant to the fashion industry.
- Fashion Brand Management & Communications: This module critically evaluates the role of branding and communication within a fashion context
- Fashion Buying & Merchandising: This unit will develop an understanding of the practices required within buying and merchandising roles and their relationship to marketing.
Semester two Modules:
- Business Simulation for the Fashion Industry: Students will learn how to implement, review and appraise business strategies, objectives and management decisions within a global market environment.
- Fashion Event Management: Students will learn how to deliver a successful fashion event for the international fashion marketing industry.
- Management of International Fashion Marketing: This unit will cover fashion marketing policy and management within an international environment.
Each module is assessed by two tasks which are based on industry scenarios
