Introduction
Lindenwood’s Theatre program is designed to fully prepare you for a life in the performing arts. Our facilities are second to none, ranging from a Broadway-style 1,200-seat auditorium to a versatile and intimate black box theater.
Lindenwood University’s Theatre Program has earned 9 Certificates of Meritorious Achievement from Region 5 of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF) since Spring 2021!
We offer both BA and BFA degrees. The BA in Theatre immerses you in all aspects of the art form through the exploration of performance, technical theatre, design, and directing. The BA is designed with flexibility to tailor the degree towards your interest and goals.
Our BFA in Theatre degree offers pre-professional, conservatory style training in 1 of 4 areas of emphasis: Acting, Design & Technical Theatre, Musical Theatre, or Stage Management. Building off a core curriculum each BFA path provides intense, specialized training as well as multiple studio and production experiences in your area of emphasis.
Admission into the BFA in Theatre requires an audition/interview. If you wish to pursue a BFA and do not or cannot audition/interview prior to enrollment, you will only be able to declare a BA in Theatre. You can then audition/interview for the BFA program at the end of your first semester of study. There is no audition/interview required for the BA in Theatre.
