Introduction
This major provides students with both Business and Computer Science knowledge and skills. It will prepare graduates for careers that require skills with both business acumen and computer and technology expertise. Courses in this major will include systems analysis, application software development, web development, and database design. Graduates will also become familiar with all areas of business in order to better accommodate business operations in the areas of software and hardware systems. The intended learning outcomes of this program include understanding the concepts, theories, and practices in the functional areas of business, preparing professional oral and written forms of communication, evaluating and applying information technology in support of management decision-making, and working effectively and professionally with diverse colleagues in team situations. Additionally, graduates will evaluate existing information systems, databases, and user interfaces and propose improvements.
