Introduction
The main direction in the training of mining specialists is training in the most advanced, natural, and resource-saving technologies, modern achievements in the field of management technologies, and computer technology in engineering.
Graduates of "Mine Surveying" acquire knowledge:
geology, forms of occurrence and geometry of the deposit, properties of a mineral;
methods of surveying the earth's surface and mine workings, setting directions for race work and monitoring the quality of their conduct using modern devices (laser tape measures, pointers, electronic theodolites, optical range finders);
methods of control over the completeness of extraction of minerals and planning of mining operations;
the processes of displacement of rocks and the earth's surface, measures of protection against the harmful effects of mining;
Working with new generation instruments requires a high level of computer training from the surveyor.
In training, students miners acquire knowledge on the construction of mines, mines, tunnels, subways, underground liquid and gas storage facilities, industrial structures on the earth's surface, residential buildings, and social, cultural, and domestic facilities.
Graduates of the specialty "Mining" can manage the divisions of mines, mines, processing plants, and other industrial enterprises and institutions. They are in demand at the enterprises of the Karaganda coal basin, Zhezkazgan, and the East Kazakhstan region, where the construction of new and the reconstruction of existing mines for the extraction of copper, zinc, and gold is being widely developed.
